Sheringham Nursery School leads the Manor Park Community Children’s Centre. We are delivering Newham’s ambitious and innovative Best Start in Life guarantee to children and their families in this diverse and vibrant neighbourhood.
Many children and families in Manor Park face significant challenges in the early years. We want to do more to give all children a happy and healthy start to life. We want to offer families Early Help so that little problems don’t build up into big issues. Manor Park Community Children’s Centre offers a wide range of services, both in our purpose-built Centre, and across a range of venues in the local neighbourhood.
We are a highly successful organisation with a strong, values-led approach to our work. We have an energetic, committed and supportive staff team that’s determined to do the very best for every child and family. We have the Gold Award for Professional Development from the UCL Institute of Education, and we can offer you excellent opportunities in this area. Sheringham is the co-leader of the East London Partnership Teaching School Alliance, working on system change for the Early Years in Manor Park and across East London.
This position is about leading the system to improve children’s life chances. You will need to be able to build strategic partnerships with health, schools, early years settings, our childminder network and others, so that together we can deliver even better services and even better outcomes for children and their families.
“I recently visited Sheringham Nursery School in Newham and saw at first hand the high-quality teaching and excellent system leadership it was providing to nurseries, private and voluntary providers and childminders across the local area.”
Caroline Dinenage MP, Minister for the Early Years at the Department for Education, speaking in the House of Commons on 1st February, 2017.
