To start ASAP - 1 year fixed term contract

Ronald Openshaw Nursery School is looking for a highly motivated practitioner to support teachers and pupils in the delivery of quality teaching and learning through play.

Key Tasks

  • Work as part of a class team (3-4 year olds) under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Be the Keyperson for an allocated number of children, including maintaining their records and giving feedback to parents.
  • To have a playful and enthusiastic approach with the children to enable them to make progress towards their next learning steps.
  • To support outdoor learning, including forest school.
  • To ensure that health, safety and behaviour policies are maintained.
  • Supervise and support pupils in the learning environment including more in depth support to meet individual needs, to promote independence, inclusion, acceptance and equality of access .

You will need

  • Level 3 Nursery Nurse qualification
  • Skilled at making and sustaining positive relationships with children.
  • Experience of working closely with parents in successful home-school partnerships.
  • A working knowledge of relevant and effective SEND interventions and how to support pupils with SEND.
  • Able to stimulate children’s interest in learning through play.
  • Capable of maintaining appropriate records.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how children learn.
