Sheringham Nursery School and Children’s Centre is home to the East London Research School and A Brighter Start – East London’s Early Years Stronger Practice Hub. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Project Administrator to support the delivery of an exciting national project: Maths Through Picture Books.
This project, delivered by East London Research School in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and IFF Research, evaluates a programme designed to improve Reception children’s understanding of numbers through shared reading of carefully selected picture books.
The programme supports Reception Teachers and Teaching Assistants to deliver structured small-group maths sessions using picture books, while the independent evaluation assesses the impact on children’s early number skills and on educators’ knowledge and confidence in teaching maths.
This role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth organisation and administration of the project, supporting programme recruitment, delivery, communication with participating schools, and coordination with the evaluation team.
The Project Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative, communications and financial support to the Research School team. The role includes coordinating events and training, supporting school engagement, maintaining accurate records and helping ensure the project runs effectively and meets key milestones.
Experience of working in education or early years would be an advantage.
