Connaught Special School is part of the Learning in Harmony Trust, a partnership of four special schools and ten inclusive mainstream primary schools. As a member of the Learning in Harmony Trust (www.lihtrust.uk), you will join a friendly, enthusiastic and well-qualified staff team working in a stimulating and rewarding environment.
In addition, the Trust offers a range of non-contractual staff benefits, including a cycle-to-work scheme, access to wellbeing services, Perkbox membership, and participation in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
Following the successful opening of Connaught School at our temporary site in September 2023, we are now planning for an exciting future, with our purpose-built school building scheduled to open at the end of 2026. As the school continues to grow and prepares to move into its permanent home, we are expanding our leadership capacity and seeking to recruit an additional senior leader at Deputy Headteacher level from September.
Working alongside a passionate and committed team, you will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement, developing staff, and creating an environment where every pupil can thrive socially and emotionally.
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious leader who is ready for the next step in their career. This period of rapid development offers a unique opportunity to contribute across a wide range of leadership responsibilities and help shape the school as it moves into its new home. The successful candidate will be a proven senior leader with a strong understanding of SEN and a passion for improving the lives of young people with autism and complex needs.
We warmly welcome visits to the school so you can meet our friendly staff and our amazing pupils. To arrange a visit, please contact the School Office on 0203 988 7874 to make an appointment with the Head Teacher.
