An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Nurse to work as part of our successful Early Years team. We seek to appoint an experienced Nursery Nurse, who has an understanding of working with multilingual children from diverse backgrounds. You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom and engaging children in their learning.

Sir John Heron is a successful two-form entry, resourced Primary School, with a morning and afternoon Nursery, providing high quality education to an inclusive and diverse community. We place a high emphasis on teaching through a creative and talk led curriculum. Our school community has a strong ethos and shared vision, which lays the foundations for excellence in teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will:
●    Hold full and relevant qualifications for working in an Early Years setting in England (0-5 years) and
      must be listed on the Early Years Qualification List (outlined on www.gov.uk website)
●    Have recent experience of working in an early years setting.
●    Have experience of working with children, with a playful and enthusiastic approach.
●    Demonstrate high quality interactions.
●    Be able to deliver and assess group activities such as phonic sessions.
●    Be able to work effectively within a supportive, committed and successful EYFS team.
●    Collaborate with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each
       child's development.
●    Have high aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development.
●    An excellent standard of spoken and written English as well as an excellent standard in numeracy.
