We are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive School Welfare Officer to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils, ensuring they can fully access school life and achieve their potential.
Working within our primary school, you will provide high-quality first aid, health care and welfare support to pupils and staff, while working closely with families, school leaders and external health professionals to meet the needs of children with medical conditions and additional health requirements.
About the Role
As our School Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of pupil health and welfare needs across the school. You will assess and respond to illnesses and injuries, administer medication, maintain accurate records, and coordinate support for pupils with ongoing medical conditions.
You will develop and review Individual Healthcare Plans, support risk assessments, liaise with parents and healthcare professionals, and help promote a healthy and inclusive school environment.
This role requires someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, and committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safeguarding of every child.
