Phoenix is the KS1 & 2 provision within Tunmarsh School. Children are referred to Phoenix for respite placement, fair access and permanent exclusions. Children present with complex SEN, SEMH and behavioural needs. The school is founded on the Nurture Principles which is embedded in our policies and practice.
As the KS2 teacher, you will carry out professional duties of a teacher including planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation of classroom provision. You will embed the Nurture Principles into your everyday teaching and learning. In consultation with the Teacher in Charge and SLT, you will promote the social and emotional health of the children through the design of the curriculum based on the 6 Nurture Principles.
You must have at minimum: QTS and strong relationship building and behaviour management skills alongside significant experience working with children and young people with SEN and SEMH in an education setting.
