The Trustees of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy Trust and the governing body at St. Francis’ Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, talented, dynamic and exceptional learning mentor/attendance officer to join our exceptional school. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to continually improving their practice. We serve a diverse community in the Catholic Parish of St Francis, Stratford in the Diocese of Brentwood.

Learning Mentor/Attendance Officer is required for September 2026 (1 year fixed term contract with possibility for permanent appointment):

We are seeking to appoint a learning mentor/attendance officer who is an excellent primary practitioner, who is committed to working flexibly and effectively as part of a team, in a supportive environment, and has high expectations in all areas of school life.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can contribute to, and support the aims and ethos of our Catholic school.
  • Has an ability to work well in a team and alongside colleagues.
  • Has a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has excellent IT skills.
  • Has competence working with management information systems such as Arbor.
  • Is knowledgeable of attendance expectations.
  • Has experience working in a pastoral/support capacity with children who present with SEMH.
  • Is highly motivated, enthusiastic and resilient.
  • Has excellent attendance and punctuality.
