The Head Teacher and Governors of Nelson Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated, outstanding and inspirational English leader, with the vision to share in the leadership and continued development and improvement of English in our ambitious school. The school has successfully implemented the Ruth Miskin Read, Write Inc Phonics, and Literacy and Language programmes .

Applicants should be:

• an outstanding teacher able to model consistently good and outstanding classroom practice
• emotionally intelligent and approachable with excellent communication skills
• able to interpret data to ensure accurate, rigorous and robust assessment
• a passionate, positive and proactive team leader who has good interpersonal skills
• an innovative, creative and strategic thinker who is able to turn ideas and opportunities into successful practice
• able to organise, motivate and lead others to reach the highest possible standards in this very large school.
