Senior Administrator
Grade SO1 £21,920 - £23,273
41 weeks a year (39 in term time), 36 hours a week
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Administrator to join our friendly and caring school.
The Senior Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including managing admissions, using SIMS and FMS, monitoring attendance, managing our two part-time receptionists, and fulfilling a wide and varied range of tasks as needed.
Sheringham is a very busy and dynamic environment. The nursery school has 200 children on roll, mostly part-time. Many families attend our popular Children’s Centre activities so the reception area is almost always busy with a regular flow of families to different activities. Sheringham is a designated National Teaching School and works with many other early years settings and schools to develop high-quality early years provision.
Manor Park is a lively and diverse neighbourhood within the London Borough of Newham. Parents and the community are highly supportive of the nursery school. Rates of child poverty are high in the neighbourhood, and many families face difficult circumstances. Many parents do not speak English fluently. You will need to share our commitment to equal opportunities and to ensuring that every child in Manor Park gets the best start to life. You will need to be ready and willing to help parents with a range of different needs and ensure that every family gets a high standard of support and service.
The Senior Administrator will be required to work closely with the business support team at the EKO trust who are partners with Sheringham. We are working to extend our collaboration with Newham’s other nursery schools and with the Trust, so that we can continue to improve our administration and our efficiency.
We are seeking an individual who possesses excellent communication skills, financial acumen, a track record in leading and managing people and the vision to imagine and implement change. You must be able to work well within a team and as an individual.
Start date - as soon as possible. We are willing to accept applications from staff who wish to complete this school year in their current post, to start on Monday 4th September.
We are committed to the safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people and expect all our staff to share this commitment.
The School has a strong commitment to achieving equality of opportunity in both services to the community and the employment of people and expects all employees to understand and promote its policies in their work.
Please apply online. For technical difficulties, please contact the Support Team. For further information about the role, please contact the school directly.
